The fellowship habit is a powerful way to help build and sustain community involvement. it gives people a chance to get to know each
other in a different way other meetings. there can be social activities-
dining out, gatherings for picnics or pot-lucks, or attending special
church events together. we participate in monthly fellowships with other local churches followed by home cooked meals afterwards.
we encourage gust speakers at these fellowships and welcome visiting musicians' performances. you do not need to be a member of the church
to attend. we encourage everyone to come and invite others to come with you. Everyone is welcome at anytime and at any function.
we are also interested in any ideas you may have for an activity.

Children love to learn, if it's fun and interactive....So we have made
our kids programs with that in mind.they may learn a bible story,
but it might have drawings or puzzles or any number of corresponding projects to keep their attention.... but they are also learning an important lesson at the same time.
Another facet we like to do is provide snacks, so that the kids don't get
hungry and restless during service...This helps aid the parents so they
can enjoy the service more. We enjoy special events and holiday
functions just as much as adults, so during these times we create activities for them to participate in as well.
Eric McCombs and Destiny Dawkins are the church ushers.
They are very young as you can see but do outstanding.
We believe as the Bible says bring them up and include
them in the church work for they are our future.
We believe We are teaching them how to carry on if god
does not come back before our time here is done.
The Tabernacle of love was founded January 1975 by my father,
the late Rev. Marvin Durham Sr.
Dad worked hard to build the church to see lost souls saved. We still base our beliefs and goals on that one principal. It is amazing what god is doing! The word says in Luke chapter 1, verse 37," that nothing is impossible with god." (Myself being pastor is proof of that.)
So whatever you need, whether it is healing, financial blessings, or
salvation, just trust God and belive and it shall be given to you.Our
church still believes in miracles because we still see God performing
them. I would like to extend a personal invitation to you and your family to come worship with us.
